The Holiday Markets are open November 22, 2025 -9:30am-12:30pm, and again on December 13, 2025 10am-1pm.  Notice that the December market will start 30 minutes later than the November market.  This change is so that we have a little bit higher temperature.  There is a separate fee for each date.  You can apply to be a vendor for either or both dates.

You can apply to become a vendor by completing the online application at the Albemarle Farmers Market website under the Holiday Market Application page/tab. www.albemarlefarmersmarket.com Or by copying / pasting the following in the search bar:   https://form.jotform.com/251406641804149    You are not guaranteed to be accepted as a vendor just by completing and submitting the application.  Once your completed application is received it will be reviewed and you will be emailed at the email address listed on the application no later than 7 days from submission notifying you if you have been accepted as a vendor.  If you have are not accepted as a vendor you will receive a full refund of any fees paid at time of application back to the manner in which they were paid. You must sign both the application, the indemnity agreement and submit payment for the application to be considered complete.

Cost to participate is $15  per space, per date of participation. Payable at the time of online application. Cost for food truck vendor is $25 per space, per date.  Payments can be made by credit, debit or paypal payment at end of application.

The market is set up in the Forest Lakes South Pool and Recreation Center parking lot.  The address is 1650 Ashwood Blvd. Charlottesville, Virginia 22911.

Any person may be a vendor.  However if under the age of 18 a parent or legal guardian must sign the vendor indemnity agreement on behalf of the minor vendor and the person over the age of 18 must be present during the market hours with the minor vendor.  Vendors are also selected based on what they are proposing to sell at the market, how many vendors have already been accepted already selling that like type item, as well if the products being sold are made, grown or produced by the vendor selling the products.

The market is outdoors in the Forest Lakes South Pool and Recreation Center parking lot. 1650 Ashwood Blvd. Charlottesville, VA. 22911.  

Vendor will be notified of acceptance via email at the email address listed on the application.  If accepted the email will be sent usually within 7 days of application.

You may set up at any time the day of the market beginning at 7:45am. You must be packed up and out of the market area by 2:45pm that market date.

This is a rain or shine market.  If  light rain/flurries are expected the market is still going to happen.  However if there is a forecast of excessive or damaging weather  we will reschedule the market to the next day (Sunday).  If the weather is still not good for the market on the following day the market will be rescheduled to the following weekend - the next Saturday.  The market manager will notify you via email if the date is to be rescheduled due to severe inclement weather.  Vendors will not receive a refund if they are unable or choose not to attend the rescheduled date .  If a vendor chooses not to participate due to the weather forecast please notify the market manager asap so that we can arrange vendors to fill any empty spaces in the market area accordingly.  

Tents and or canopies are not required but are encouraged if you are worried about damage to products due to rain. Tent or canopy size may not extend into a neighboring vendor space.  spaces are 10' wide.  Do not bring a tent or canopy that is larger on one end than 10' if you have a single space.  If a tent or canopy is used they must be weighted down.

A space is a single parking space or is a marked space the size of a single parking space and will be marked with a number. If you are setting up in a parking space you may not extend into the center aisle area of the market where customers walk any further than 3' past the end of the painted lines of the marked space.

Restrooms are onsite in the Forest Lakes Clubhouse. Market manager will have a key to clubhouse doors so that you may access the restrooms.

Vendors are NOT allowed to bring weapons or firearms onto the market premises.

A map of vendor space assignment will be emailed to the vendor a few days prior to the market date. The map will show a numbered space corresponding to the layout of the market setup area and will have the vendors name in the space that they are assigned to set up in.

Inclement Weather - The market will operate if it is raining.  If there is inclement weather and the market is unable to operate due to the road conditions (IE SNOW OR ICE - ROADS NOT PASSABLE). The market will be rescheduled to the following day or the next weekend.  If the market is cancelled, meaning that it is unable to be rescheduled vendors will refunded amounts they paid in vendor fees. 

The market manager has the sole right to accept a vendor into the market, and the right to place the vendor at any location in the market area. Vendors may request to be placed in a certain area or near another vendor but they are not guaranteed that they will be placed there.  Vendor placement is decided on several factors and if it can be accommodated it will be but again it is not guaranteed just because it is requested.

If a vendor who has submitted an application, paid the fee, and has been accepted as a vendor decides not to sell at the market that they were accepted to they must notify the market manager within 7 days of receiving their acceptance email that they decline participation and request a refund.  A vendor will not receive a refund of fees paid if they cancel participation in the market if cancellation occurs after the 7 day cancellation period after vendor acceptance. The vendor, if going to be absent from the market does not have the authority to - give, lend, rent - their space to any other vendor.

A vendor may not invite another person to "Sell" in their booth or "share" their booth if the items being sold were not included on the original vendor application. Example: you sell cutting boards.  Your friend who makes baked goods decides they want to join you - they may not share your booth or sell their items in your space at the market.  They would need to apply for their own booth or you would have had to include their products in your original application for it to be allowed. 

If your booth will generate trash (sample cups, trash from food service, personal trash from eating or conducting business,  etc) you must provide a trash receptacle for any of your generated trash to be disposed of at the market.  Any generated trash must be disposed of in the dumpster near the pool entrance in the wooden enclosure or taken with you for private disposal. DO NOT PLACE TRASH INTO THE SMALL GREEN METAL TRASH CANS IN THE PARKING LOT AREA.

The vendor is responsible for any collection and or remittance of any applicable state of local sales tax or other taxes required resulting from the sale of their product(s).

Any food items being sold by vendors must be labeled in accordance with state and local laws if produced in a home kitchen the items must be labeled so that they show the name of person or business making the product, contact information of maker, name of product,  ingredients, allergens, weight of product, date made, and must also show the following "Not for resale.  Processed and prepared without state inspection."
